Dear Students and Church Leaders,
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

It is with great joy and anticipation that I welcome you to Solas Theological Seminary. Solas is committed to providing rigorous Reformed theological education deeply rooted in vital spiritual formation within the local church. Our mission is to equip pastors, church workers, and future leaders with the knowledge, wisdom, and spiritual maturity necessary for faithful and effective ministry in the diverse and dynamic context of India’s cities.
When I sought training for urban pastoral ministry in the Reformed tradition, I had to look beyond India. My heartfelt desire was to bring such a transformative experience home. By God’s gracious answers to the prayers of many faithful saints, Solas Theological Seminary has been blessed with landmark partnerships with Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary and Birmingham Theological Seminary in the USA. These partnerships ensure that our academic standards are not only excellent but also globally recognised. Alongside this, our dedicated local facilitators and faculty provide invaluable contextual insights, helping students engage deeply with the unique challenges and opportunities of ministry in India’s cities.

One of the most formative parts of my own theological journey was being actively involved in the life of my local church and receiving ongoing pastoral care. This experience helped me “bring theology home”. At Solas Theological Seminary, we believe that preparing students for ministry must go hand in hand with ongoing spiritual oversight from their home churches. Regular reports from the student’s pastor help us maintain a close and meaningful connection between seminary training and the life of the local church. This partnership nurtures a holistic growth that integrates the head (knowledge), the heart (transformation), and the hand (service).
To our dear students joining us: we pray earnestly that, through the blessing and guidance of the Holy Spirit, you will be well-equipped, deeply rooted in the church, and ready to serve with humility and effectiveness in God’s kingdom.
To the churches reading this letter: I warmly invite you to consider partnering with Solas Theological Seminary. Together, we can nurture and train your future leaders—ensuring they receive sound theological education combined with spiritual formation that glorifies our Triune God and faithfully serves the church.
Thank you sincerely for considering this partnership in ministry. We look forward to walking alongside you as we prepare a new generation of faithful servants for Christ’s church in India.
